2025-2026 Round 2 Competition – Judges’ Bio

Betty Chan, GMPSA

Betty is a multi-genres photographer specializing in Wildlife and Sports. She has been awarded the GMPSA designation (Grand Master PSA) from The Photographic Society of America in December 2021. A title she achieved for competing in International Exhibitions during the 15 months from January 2020 to March 2021.  During that period, she has attained over 400 awards including Gold, Silver, Bronze, and HM medals Internationally. These awards have been from different image titles across five categories: Colour Digital, Mono Digital, Nature, Photo Travel and Photojournalism. She was also ranked on the Top Exhibitor Lists in Colour digital, Mono Digital and Nature Divisions in the PSA 2020 Who’s Who In Photography Publication.

Betty is one of the top photographers at her Camera Clubs in Ontario where she has won Photographer-Of-The-Year awards in Novice, Advanced and Master Levels.  She has received various Placement awards at the various Provincial (O3C) and National Competitions in Canada (CAPA).  Most recently she has been awarded the “Specialist in the Bird Category” award at the 2025 O3C Open Challenge.

She is an accredited Judge at the Ontario Council of Camera Clubs as well as a Judge for the PSA Club competitions and PSA International Salons.  Betty is the PSA Membership Director for Ontario, Canada.

Biography

Linda Cresswell

In 2006, I became the Canadian Wildlife Photography Grand Prize Winner—an achievement that sparked a lifelong passion for photographic competition. Wanting to push my skills further, I joined the Oshawa Camera Club in 2013, where I learned the art of competing and, to my surprise, found considerable success. In 2016, I became a certified O3C judge, completing the circle from competitor to evaluator.

After retiring from a long and rewarding career as an oncology nurse, I now spend my days behind the camera, on the pickleball court, and volunteering in therapy visits with my dog. Photography continues to challenge and inspire me—and I’m happy to say, life is great.
