Astrophotography Post-Processing – Jonathan Sau

Join Jonathan Sau to explore post-processing techniques to bring out the best in your night sky images. In this workshop we’ll cover the following:

– Single-shot Milky Way image post-processing (instructions will be provided using Lightroom and Photoshop, but similar techniques applies to many other image editing software)

– Stacking multiple Milky Way images for noise reduction

– Creating star trail images

If you’re planning to join the June 9th Milky Way Photography outing, this workshop will help you get the most out of those images. If you’re unable to join the outing, sample raw files will be provided for you to practice.

Bring your laptop and your favourite image editing program with you. Additional details will be provided regarding stacking software once you have registered.

 

About the speaker

Jonathan Sau is a fine art photographer based in Waterloo, Ontario. His photography work started back in the film days. Today his photographic interest is diverse, with a focus on natural and urban landscape, astrophotography, and floral and close-up. 

Jonathan is the current competition chair at GRIPS, a CAPA certified judge, and a member of the Uptown Gallery in Waterloo.
