Brian Greenway

Brian Greenways lifelong love of photography began when he started taking photos for the Queen’s University student newspaper- The Journal. Despite the chemical exposure in the dark room, he survived to become an educator and principal for the Durham Board of Education for more than 32 years.

After his “starter” career, Brian was finally freed to breathe life into his art, taking professional workshops in Canada, United Kingdom, France, Italy, and Laos. His main interest is in travel photography, but his work features an eclectic mix of landscapes, artistic distortions, cityscapes, black-and-white and high dynamic range images ( weird looking ones).

Brian continues to use his educational background to teach others the craft. He’s been an instructor for the photographic arts, as well as for Adobe, and other imaging software. Brian was a founding member of the Clarington Camera Club and has served as a competition judge for the Greater Toronto Council of Camera Clubs for over 10 years.

June West

I have belonged to the Etobicoke Camera Club for almost twenty years, and have found viewing other people’s images and listening to judge’s comments very helpful to my own development.  I try to give back for all the help I have received by being a judge myself.  I enjoy seeing what other clubs are doing.  I am a generalist in terms of subject matter, but have a decided preference for nature, particularly insects and close up photography, as well as creative altered reality.  I grew up in Prince Edward County in the country, and now live right beside High Park in Toronto, always interesting. In addition to discovering in the field, I LOVE editing and playing around with Photoshop, Nik and Topaz software. I used to use a Canon, but now use a Sony RX10 Mark IV.
